Frequently Asked Questions
Are you a reputable business?
Rasberry Rae is a registered business with an ABN 83 220 163 301. All artists are fully insured with Allianz Australia for $30,000,000 public & products liability and hold a current WWC Check card issued by the Department of Justice.
How many faces can you paint at an event?
This depends on how fabulous you want the design, but as a guide, for parties and corporate events, we can paint 10-12 beautifully detailed designs per hour. For large busy events we try and keep the face painting designs simple and can generally get through around 15-18 faces per hour. Extra time can be spent on the birthday girl/boy/adult or for special designs.
How can I make a booking?
Contact Rasberry Rae via the website and fill in the enquiry form. Alternatively, you can call the mobile and we can discuss your booking details. If you have a large event and need a team, we have a network of professional artists that can be booked. Please include these details on your booking enquiry. We will make contact within 24 hours.
What are your rates?
Rates will vary depending on what service you require, face painting, UV, temp tattoos, balloons & your location, time of day, duration of booking etc. But expect to pay between $110-$140 per hour, per artist – generally with a 2 hour minimum booking time.
Please contact us with your event details for an accurate quote.
How does payment work?
A 50% deposit is required to secure the booking date which forms part of your total payment and is non-refundable if you cancel. Balance payment is due 14 days before your event day, or in cash on the event day, unless otherwise agreed. Payment can be made by EFT or direct deposit.
Do you have travel fees?
A travel surcharge will be applied if further than 20km from Berwick.
What type of paints do you use?
We only use professional cosmetic grade face paints/theatre makeup products. This is a water based makeup, very similar to foundation but contains colour pigment. All paints are FDA approved, water based, non-toxic and hyper allergenic. These can still aggravate eczema and skin with allergies, so we cannot face paint a child/adult if they have any of these obvious conditions.
What do you do for hygiene?
We follow the health and safety guidelines outlined by the international Face Painting Association. Brushes are washed in sanitiser water between clients, one sponge per person is used and water is regularly changed. Microshield hand sanitising gel is used between clients.
How can the face paint be removed?
Face paints can be removed with water, soap or makeup remover and a face washer. Some colours do stain slightly (blues, greens and reds). Remove these by gently rubbing neat makeup cleanser or shampoo into the area (before adding water), then using a baby wipe or face washer to remove.
What equipment do you supply?
We bring all face paint and makeup supplies in a kit and the makeup chair/ladder. We can also supply our own table if you can’t provide one at the event. All we require from you is a protected area to paint in; shaded from sun, wind and rain. A small marquee can also be supplied for outside events if the booking is longer than 5 hours and/or for public and corporate events.
